Rycom sources solvent extracted canola meal from plants located in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and North Dakota. Rycom sources its expeller pressed canola meal from Manitoba. Our expeller pressed canola cake comes from Alberta.
Expeller pressed canola meal is slightly lower in protein but higher in fat than solvent extracted as some of the oil remains in the co-product.
