Ryan Slozka - Senior Commodity Trader

Ryan obtained his BSc in Agriculture from the University of Alberta. He majored in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Animal Science. Upon graduating from University, Ryan re-located to Lethbridge, AB and was employed as a customer service representative marketing crop inputs and buying grain for a multi-national Ag company. In 2000, Ryan was hired to start a bulk agricultural commodity trucking company in Lethbridge, AB. Ryan managed and dispatched for the company for 10 months and was able to grow the company from 5 to 17 tractor-trailors hauling product across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

Ryan's desire to get back into trading was strong, so in the fall of 2000 he was hired by a Western Canadian commodity trading company as a traffic co-ordinator and a trader trainee. Within 4 years Ryan was the head of logistics and the highest earning trader in the company. After 5 years with the company, Ryan was regarded as the "defacto General Manager" of the trading company with over 20 employees and offices in 3 provinces. Ryan founded Rycom Trading Ltd. in March 2006.

Tim MacDonald – Chief Financial Officer

Tim obtained a Bachelor of Management degree in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge in April 2001.  Subsequently, Tim was hired by Deloitte and Touché LLP in Calgary and was employed with Deloitte from July 2001 to February 2006.  During his career with Deloitte, Tim worked in the Audit and the Business Valuation practices.  Tim received the ICAA Bronze medal on the 2002 Uniform Final Exam and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in April 2004. Tim moved to Grand Cayman in early 2006 to work as a hedge fund accountant with Fortis Prime Fund Solutions (Cayman) Ltd.  Tim progressed from Fund Accountant to Head of the Fund Accounting department, managing a team of 30 accountants during his tenure with Fortis.

Tim co-founded Rycom Trading in March 2006 and recently became the full-time Chief Financial Officer.

Dan Wurz – Operations Manager – Rycom Transload

Dan joined Rycom Transload Services, LLC in November 2009 as the Operations Manager and minority shareholder.  Dan has over 7 years experience working in the transloading and rail logistics business.  Under Dan's management, Rycom Transload Services, has increased its transloading capacity to approximately 30 rail cars per week.  In addition, Dan has extensive experience in grain handling systems and is currently spearheading an expansion of the storage capabilities at our facility.
